Summary:  Saul in Jerusalem, The Healing of Aeneas, Dorcas Restored to Life

God used several people to touch the life of Saul of Tarsus, a turning point in the history of the Church. Paul is remembered, but we often forget the people who helped him get started. Stephen’s testimony, as well as the testimonies and prayers of those who were persecuted by Saul, are significant.

The disciples at Damascus saved his life after Ananias baptized him and encouraged him. The bridge was built by Barnabas, the son of Encouragement when the Church in Jerusalem feared welcoming Saul into their fellowship. It’s what encouragers do. They build bridges. Saul was later enlisted by Barnabas to serve in the Antioch Church and travel with him among the Gentiles in evangelism.

Unlike Saul, you might not be called to a prominent job, but you can do the job God has given you and be an encouragement to others. The brave men who smuggled Saul out of Damascus are unknown, but holding the ropes was crucial.
