New Testament:
Romans 9:25-10:13

Summary:
Israel’s Unbelief
The Message of Salvation to All

What shall we say, then? That Gentiles who did not pursue righteousness have attained it, that is, a righteousness that is by faith; but that Israel who pursued a law that would lead to righteousness did not succeed in reaching that law. Why? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as if it were based on works. They have stumbled over the stumbling stone, as it is written, “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense; and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.”
~ Romans 9:30-33

Read, listen, and believe. Do not let anyone change what the scriptures say. Read it, believe it, and do it. Salvation is by believing in the one and only way to God and that is through Jesus Christ and not works which the Jews were trying to do. It was their stumbling block then and still is today. Come out of trying to do good works to earn salvation and place your faith in Jesus Christ the only TRUTH and way to God. Time is growing short and no one has the promise of a tomorrow. Please come to know Jesus today.

But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim);
~ Romans 10:8

The gospel is referred to as the Word of faith, or the Word of God, since it is what God spoke, or communicated, to man.
Romans 10:17; Hebrews 6:5; Hebrews 11:3.

According to the gospel, doctrines are to be believed on the basis of the righteousness of Christ received by faith, and because it proposes Christ as the only object of faith, and encourages souls to believe in him for salvation and life. God has only one way for us to be right with Him, according to the Bible. In Romans 3:22, Christ makes us right with God by placing our faith in him. Regardless of who we are, this is true for everyone who believes; preaching the gospel without Jesus Christ as the only way is useless.

For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
~ Romans 10:13

Listen to John MacArthur on today’s scripture below

What is the greatest obstacle to salvation?  That’s the question.  What is the greatest obstacle to salvation?  What is the severest, to put it another way, what is the severest bondage which can capture people and hold them in a rejection of the truth?  Some might say indifference.  Some might say religion.  Some might say immorality or wickedness or vice or sin.  But I want you to think about it.

Romans 9 – 10

Are you aware of just how amazing salvation is?

Salvation is free to us. I’ve heard different people on many occasions try to push this narrative that salvation is the standard that one must obtain by doing some very outrageous things. I mean, they set the bar so high that I’m pretty sure only Jesus himself would be able to maintain it. I’ve even known people to say, I need to get my life together before I start my life with Christ. Brothers and sisters, we are not saved on the basis of our own performance.

We’re human. And so perfection for us is absolutely impossible. In Romans, chapter 10, we are clearly informed that if you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God. And it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.

Guys, that’s it. You don’t have to do anything for Him to receive his love and salvation. But what’s interesting is that once you receive his love, you start wanting to put forth effort to follow Him. Sure, we’ll have some downfalls, God knows that. But mistakes don’t take away the gift of salvation.

If you’ve been holding back giving your life to Jesus because of the things that you’ve done, all of that can come to an end today. If you want, open your Bible and read today’s Scripture. And if you believe in those words, ask God to come in your heart and save you.

Freedom from the law! For 2,000 years, Paul’s letter to the Romans has proclaimed the news that every guilty person should long for. We don’t have to run from the law of God for the rest of our lives—hounded by the barking dogs of past sins. God offers freedom. He offers immunity. He offers pardon. And if He is for us, who can be against us?
