Before the Light Goes Out: A Final Warning
While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light.” ~ John 12:36
Jesus said, “While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light” (John 12:36). This is a wake-up call. The Light is still here. Jesus is still calling. But the time to respond is now, because when your life ends and eternity begins, nothing else will matter.
Even though Jesus performed many undeniable miracles, many still refused to believe. Some couldn’t believe, their hearts hardened just as Isaiah prophesied. Others did believe, but stayed silent, afraid of being rejected by people, unwilling to lose their place in society. “They loved the glory that comes from man more than the glory that comes from God” (John 12:43).
That’s still happening today. People see the truth, they know the truth, but they won’t come to the Light. Why? Because of fear, pride, peer pressure, or loyalty to religion, family, or culture. But Jesus is calling you now, not to religion, but to Himself. He is the Light (John 8:12), and those who follow Him will never walk in darkness.
Don’t let the fear of man, or the lies of this world, keep you from stepping into the light. If you delay until after death, it will be too late. The Bible says it is “appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27). You won’t be judged by your church membership, your good deeds, or what others thought of you. You will be judged by your response to Jesus Christ.
So while you still have the Light, believe in Him, confess Him, and follow Him. He died to save you, and He rose again to give you eternal life. But the door won’t stay open forever.
Wake up, step into the Light, before it’s gone.
And to every false teacher reading this, and you know who you are, this is for you too.
You may be preaching lies, twisting Scripture, and leading others into darkness, but the Light is still shining right now. You don’t have to keep going down this path. Jesus is calling even you to repent. The same grace that can save the sinner can save the deceivers, if you turn from your pride and submit to the truth of God’s Word.
Don’t love the praise of men more than the glory that comes from God. Don’t cling to your platform, your religion, or your ego. You might fool people, but you will not fool God. “Be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation” (James 3:1). If you reject the Light now, the darkness you face in eternity will be beyond comprehension.
You still have breath in your lungs. You still have time. Turn away from the lies and come to the truth. Confess Christ, not your version of Him. Preach His Word, not your own. Submit to the Bible, not your system. The day of reckoning is coming, and you will not escape it.
While you still have the Light, run to it.

Now is the judgment of this world; now will the ruler of this world be cast out. ~ John 12:31
the ruler of this world. A reference to Satan. Although the cross might have appeared to signal Satan’s victory over God, in reality it marked Satan’s defeat (Romans 16:20; Hebrews 2:14).
