Summary
You Must Be Born Again
For God So Loved the World
Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” ~ John 3:3
We do have a responsibility as followers of Christ to proclaim the gospel, and in the book of John, Jesus explains why we sinners need to be born again. Being born again is the priority, the most critical responsibility of the church. Being born again is not following some religious teaching, it is knowing Jesus Christ. People trying to earn their way to heaven must be crushed by this. As believers, we must understand what it means to be born again. I ask you to really dig into this and find the answer for yourselves. John MacArthur says, ‘Heaven comes down, and God makes sinners new. It’s a divine miracle. We contribute nothing. All we can do is believe, right? Cry out to God, “Lord, give me faith, give me life.” There’s not a formula, a formula prayer you pray. Cry out to heaven, that God would grant you life and repentance and faith. Click here for more information.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.” ~ John 3:16-21
