Truth Was Rejected, Now Chaos Reigns
Look around. The confusion, the corruption, the chaos, it’s not random. It’s not just politics, bad leadership, or cultural shifts. What we’re seeing right now is exactly what happens when people reject God. This isn’t new. It’s not surprising. It’s spelled out clearly in Romans 1:18–32.
God’s wrath isn’t just something waiting for the end of the world. It’s already being revealed. Romans 1:18 says, “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness.” God is not ignoring the evil in this world, He is responding to it by giving people over to the consequences of their rebellion.
Romans 1:19–20 explains that people aren’t ignorant of God. It says, “Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them, for God hath shewed it unto them… so that they are without excuse.” Creation itself testifies to God’s power and nature. Every person knows deep down that He is real. But instead of honoring Him, they turn away.
Romans 1:21 says, “Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful, but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.” That’s what we see now, people exalting their own ideas over God’s truth. The next verse hits even harder, “Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools” (Romans 1:22). That is exactly what is happening in today’s world. Intelligence without truth becomes deception.
Then comes the judgment, “Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts” (Romans 1:24). When people keep rejecting the truth, God lets them have what they want. First, He gives them up to impurity. Then in verse 26, He gives them over to vile affections. Women exchange natural relations for unnatural ones. Men burn in lust toward other men, committing what God calls shameful acts and receiving the consequences in themselves. This is not cultural opinion. This is the Word of God.
And it doesn’t stop there. Romans 1:28 says, “Even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind.” That’s a mind that can no longer reason morally or spiritually. We’re watching it happen. People no longer know right from wrong, because they’ve rejected the only true standard, God’s Word.
What follows is a terrifying list, “Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness, full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity” (Romans 1:29). Sound familiar? Turn on the news. Scroll through social media. Walk through any major city. It’s all there, exactly as God said it would be. And it ends with this, “Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them” (Romans 1:32). People not only sin openly, they applaud and encourage others to do the same. This is not just sin, it is celebrated rebellion.
But this isn’t just about them. This is about us. Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Every single one of us has broken God’s law and deserves judgment. The wrath of God isn’t just falling on society, it’s the rightful consequence for sin, and we all stand guilty before Him.
But here is the good news, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). God’s wrath is real, but so is His mercy. Jesus took the punishment we deserved, and now, through faith in Him, we can be forgiven and made new. Romans 10:9 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
So don’t ignore what’s happening. Don’t call evil good and good evil (Isaiah 5:20). The wrath of God is already here, and it’s only a preview of what’s to come. But His mercy is still available. Now is the time to repent, believe the gospel, and walk in the truth.
The world is falling apart, but you don’t have to go down with it. Choose truth. Choose life. Choose Christ.

Reality Check

We need a reality check. There’s no doubt that the world has infiltrated the church of Jesus Christ in a pretty subtle way. In order for us to make any kind of impact on our society, we must first keep our own ranks pure and, second, we must be confrontational. We must come out of our closets and begin to speak the truth and say what needs to be said.
It has made me realize we cannot be smug and we cannot simply play church. This is not a game we can play. We can’t have this conversation without realizing we’re at war.
The history of humanity can be described as decadence. The history of humanity is one of decline. Man’s society has been declining since Adam’s fall. It is true that man never ascended; he has descended gradually since the Fall. You see, man was created in the image of God, and when he sinned and marred that image, the process of decline began, and man sinks lower and lower until, eventually, he will fall into the debauchery which is described in the Book of Revelation as the time of the tribulation, and Christ Himself will come to put an end to everything at that time.
Check out this article by Will Callery – it’s an eye-opener:
This Letter From Over Yonder is addressed to those who call themselves by His Name but think that to “get by”, they must dabble in the “ways of the world” and squander Time in a piddling fashion as if there was plenty of it to spare. This “Letter” is to the Fencerider, the Backslider, the Sinner, & the Saint, whether they be Pastors, Bishops, Elders, Deacons, Tycoons, a Heathern, a Harlot, a lowly Orphan, or one of the many others of no “Great Standing”, from the Disheveled to the Well-Groomed: “There is a way that seems so right in the eyes of men, but the end thereof is dishevelment, total ruin, and death.” {Proverbs 16:25 wcv} – “If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the TRUTH is not in us.” {1 John 1:8} – The Remedy? “Wait upon the Lord…” {Psalms 37:9, Isaiah 40:31}
Beware of the enticing spirit of Compromise: As long as I am in this body, I will forever endeavor to put myself and those of us who are Born Again of the Spirit in remembrance of our First Love. Our First Love: The One others can not yet see, yet He is the One Who sees us!
