FILLED WITH RAGE.  A curious response in the face of so glorious a miracle. Such irrational hatred was their response to having been publicly humiliated—something they hated worse than anything (Matthew_23:6-7). They were unable to answer His reasoning (Luke 6:9-10). And furthermore, by healing the man only with a command, He had performed no actual “work” with which they could charge Him. Desperately seeking a reason to accuse Him (Luke_6:7), they could find none. They responded with blind fury. ~ John MacArthur

The above makes me think of trying to communicate in so-called Christian chat rooms. I believe the only truth comes from the Bible, God’s word to us. But if you say you do not believe that God is still giving people new revelations to add to the Bible, they are likely to stone you.

Religious self-seeking people commonly use the phrase “The Lord told me” as a shield for all kinds of stuff.

There’s a dangerous pattern in the church when it comes to divine direction. Many people today want to hear directly from God, whether it’s through an audible voice or a stirring in their soul. Worse still, people who claim to follow God legitimize everything from heresy to fundraising schemes to personal decisions saying “The Lord told me”. Divine direction comes from the Bible. Keep an eye out for things like that and stay away from them. God has revealed His word to us through the Bible.
