Twisted
As I was reading today, I was struck by Luke’s deep concern for Theophilus—he wanted him to be absolutely certain of the truth he had been taught. In Luke 1:4, he writes, ‘that you may have certainty concerning the things you have been taught.’ This reminds us that faith is not built on blind belief but on the assurance of God’s truth, carefully recorded and passed down to us.
If you fall prey to misleading Bible teachers or cults, you could find yourself facing eternal separation from God in hell, as you might be following a twisted version of the gospel that fails to offer genuine salvation (Galatians 1:6-9). Jesus cautioned us that numerous false prophets and teachers would arise, leading many astray with deceptive messages that ultimately result in destruction (Matthew 7:15-23; 2 Peter 2:1-3). Trusting in erroneous teachings—such as believing that good works can earn salvation, following a different interpretation of Jesus, or dismissing essential biblical truths (John 8:24; 2 Corinthians 11:4) jeopardizing your relationship with God for eternity. Therefore, it is vital to engage in personal Bible study and evaluate all teachings against Scripture (Acts 17:11; 1 John 4:1), ensuring that your faith is rooted in divine truth rather than human fallacies (Matthew 7:21-23).
The truth of the Bible it is the only reliable source that reveals God’s plan for redemption through Jesus Christ (John 14:6; 2 Timothy 3:15). The Bible clearly teaches that salvation is found only through faith in Jesus (Acts 4:12; Ephesians 2:8-9), and it provides the knowledge of sin, grace, and eternal life. Without the truth of Scripture, people will be misled by false teachings (Matthew 24:24 ), relying on their own efforts, or misunderstandings of God’s gift of salvation.

You Need to Know the Bible for Yourself
Everybody needs to know what the Bible really says: what it says about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, salvation and eternity, etc. Don’t depend on what a church or some famous preacher tells you. If you depend on Hollywood, the History Channel, or a magazine for the most important information you will ever need to know. You may end up lost forever not knowing what God has written down for you. He wants you to spend eternity with Him.
You need to know Jesus before you can be saved. The bible is all about who Jesus is and what He has done for you. He has a gift for you and it is completely free. But if you don’t know Him, you will not be in the Kingdom of God with Jesus who gave His very life for you.
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. “Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ “And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’ ~ Matthew 7:21-23
There is an absurd amount of very bad information out in the world today about the Bible. You will only know the truth if you study the bible for yourself. And if you study the bible and ask The Holy Spirit to open your eyes to the truth He will and it will change your life forever.
